Digital platforms are helping us stay connected on both a personal and professional level more than ever. Throughout the How to use social media efficiently events strand we will be exploring how you can best use these platforms to share and promote your work and grow your audience.

Speaking to experts, we will looking at tips and tricks around maximising your professional online brand. Looking at how to navigate each platform to showcase your work with online platforms to be able to get it seen, develop your career, find job prospects and grow connections with collaborators.

Jo Booth, Managing Director, Social Media Makes Sense Ltd.

Social Media Makes Sense Ltd the only UK company specialising solely in social media for TV, media and film. As a Social Media educator, Jo loves to use her expertise, knowledge and skills to support productions to make the most of their online presence and support them in reaching niche & international audiences. Jo has delivered campaigns for a wide repertoire of clients, including: Five Guys A Week, The Good Karma Hospital, Sunny Bunnies, Poldark, Line of Duty, and Cbeebies. She has also worked with BBC Academy for a number of years delivering workshops and supporting strategy planning; she has worked with teams from Children’s, Sport, Radio, News and Learning.

How will the online event work?

This event will be live streamed via Zoom.us. Viewing details will be sent via your confirmation.

Live stream participants will not be visible to others and you will be muted throughout the session. After the talk, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask their questions to the panel by using the Q&A feature.

    The challenges of filming schedules, Covid-19 anxiety, post-traumatic stress, demanding work schedules, adapting to new filming practices and social distancing have all had a large impact on mental health. This session will focus on understanding mental health and will help individuals increase their own resilience giving them the tools to recognise the signs and offer support to people suffering from mental distress.
