WFTV Q&A: Sorry, I Didn’t Know –

breaking the diversity barrier in TV

Join WFTV for an interview with some of the team from a classic comedy panel show but altogether new: Sorry, I Didn’t Know; airing during Black History Month and part of a slate of specially commissioned shows on the channel and promises to be bold and tongue-in-cheek viewing.

Sorry, I Didn’t Know launched on ITV on Tuesday 6 October, 22.45.

In this event, host Claire Bueno will be speaking to the show’s Team Captains: Chizzy Akudolu and Judi Love along with the show’s Executive Producer and TriForce Creative Network, Director of Operations: Minnie Ayres.

The panel will discuss how the show came about, how it is unique to other comedy panel shows, and why it’s back for ITV’s Black History Month. After the talk you will have opportunity to put your questions to the panel during the audience Q&A.

Film journalist, presenter and interviewer

Claire Bueno

Claire Bueno is a film journalist, presenter and interviewer, having moderated BAFTA and Apple Store Q&As and hosted Comic Con panel talks. She has interviewed high calibre artistes such as Tom Cruise, George Clooney, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sigourney Weaver, Nicole Kidman, Emily Blunt, Samuel L Jackson, James Cameron and Andy Serkis.

Having studied with the London School of Journalism, she received a diploma with distinction in Freelance and Feature Writing and has written for 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die and Curzon Magazine. Additionally, Claire is the producer of the feature documentary ‘CLEANIN’ UP THE TOWN: Remembering Ghostbusters’ and is in post-production with her second documentary Too Hot To Handle: Remembering Ghostbusters II.

Actor

Chizzy Akudolu

Chizzy is best known for playing series regular Mo Effanga in Holby City for BBC1.

She recently played the role of Josie in Frantic Assembly’s UK Tour of I THINK WE ARE ALONE. Previous to this she played Maria in the UK Tour of Edmond De Bergerac for The Birmingham Rep.

Other TV credits include: Hetty Feather, County Lines, Death in Paradise, Shakespeare & Hathaway, Twenty Twelve, Mongrels and The Inbetweeners.

Chizzy was also a contestant in Strictly Come Dancing 2017 and Masterchef 2018 and is a regular Loose Women panellist.

Judi Love

Judi Love is a stand-up comedian and presenter performer. Judi takes everyday relatable situations that resonate with audiences and brings them to life in hilarious routines. Marking herself as a firm favourite on the comedy circuit, Judi is also known for producing a host of hilarious online comedy sketches which have gone viral on an international scale, amassing a huge following on social media.

Judi is a regular Loose Women panellist. Her other TV appearances include multiple appearances on ITV’s This Morning, Comedy Central’s Drunk History, ITV2’s Pranksterz, Channel 4’s 8 out of 10 Cats, Channel 4’s Big Narstie Show, Channel 4’s The Rob Rinder Verdict, ITV2’s Celebrity Karaoke Club and BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef. Judi also has 2 weekly BBC Radio London shows.

Minnie Ayres

Minnie Ayres is the Director of Operations and COO of Talent Development at TriForce Creative Network, an organisation set up to promote equal opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Since joining TCN in 2009, Minnie has spearheaded multiple initiatives including MonologueSlam UK, WriterSlam, the TCN Writers Incubator, Get A Grip for entry-level high-end TV crew, the annual TriFroce Short Film Festival and most recently DandI, which helps companies and organisations diversify their workforce and reach out to a broader range of talent- on and off screen, all of which provide opportunities for actors, writers, directors, producers and crew from all walks of life.

Together with TCN Co-Founder Fraser Ayres, Minnie set up TriForce Productions in 2015, and executive produced their first commission in November 2016, Sorry, I Didn’t Know, an inclusive comedy panel show about black history, for ITV2’s Fresh season.
