Half of women in the creative sector have personally experienced bullying or harassment at work, according to a new Bectu survey. The publication of their new research accompanied the launch of a Dignity at Work campaign.
Their research also found:
50% of women said they did not trust managers or heads of department to deal with the issues
58% said reported incidents were not dealt with
25% had experienced inappropriate touching, hugging or kissing and
26% of women and 32% of men had witnessed or experienced racist language
As part of their Dignity at Work campaign, Bectu plans to work with other industry bodies and large employers to address a range of issues around respect at work, bullying, diversity and discrimination.
