About the Event

Social media educator, Jo Booth from Social Media Makes Sense, the only UK company specialising solely in social media for TV, media and film, will be available for our first social media 1-2-1 clinic.

These social media clinics will offer focussed advice on content creation, social media platforms and how to represent yourself, or your work, on each channel.

Content creation: Are you stuck on how to best advertise your latest short or feature, or even your showreel? Do you need to discuss the best time to post to get the most traffic? What goals should you be setting yourself to gain maximum interactions and follows? How to create shareable content?

Social Media Platforms: Are you trying to figure out the best platform to market yourself or your work? What are the best markers to mark success on each platform?

Represent yourself/Your Work: There are different parameters on each channel to on how to present yourself. What should your bio say? What links to include or to leave out? Should your posts be the same or different on each channel?

Jo will be offering 5 x 20 minutes slots to WFTV members. In order to maximise the opportunity, we ask that you submit a brief bio, your social media handles and a short paragraph outlining what you’d like to speak with her in advance.

This 1-2-1 clinic will be carried out via Zoom, or phone upon request.

As a Social Media Trainer, Jo Booth loves to use her expertise, knowledge & skills to support productions & indies in making the most out of their online presence. She brings energy & enthusiasm to all her work and helps clients fully understand & harness their digital marketing potential. As a result of this, she is regularly invited to speak at events & conference and blog about her opinions on Social Media and how to engage with audiences.

She set up Social Media Makes Sense 6 years ago – it is the UK’s only SM company devoted solely to promoting TV shows. SMMS Ltd. works with diverse programmes and Indies – from Line of Duty, Hospital, Monkman and Seagull’s Genius Adventures, Five Guys a Week, several food programmes and many more genres.
