The Scheme and its Purpose

The purpose of the WFTV Fast Track To Fearless Leadership Programme is to empower women to thrive in senior leadership positions by providing training and coaching in leadership skills, tools and techniques and mindset.

We believe that if we want to enact change, one of the most powerful ways is to make sure women leaders are represented at the highest levels across the screen industries in all roles and empowered with the leadership skills, self-belief and confidence to set and deliver strategy, to make positive impact and maintain their resilience for the long-haul.

This is a bespoke programme of group coaching, 1-2-1 coaching and masterclasses, and is designed to supercharge leadership skills and create an annual cohort of 12 female leaders who will be professional sounding boards and confidants for each other for the rest of their careers.

Who is it for?

You are eligible to apply for this scheme if you have 15 years’ experience or are leading a full-time permanent team responsible for vision, strategy and delivery in a position in the film, TV and content industries including digital media.

WFTV is committed to equal opportunities and developing diversity and inclusivity across the industry, so it puts key targets in place to ensure the programme meets this commitment.

2025 Fearless Leadership Cohort

The WFTV Fearless Leadership Programme is for you if:

You are already leading. Now it's time to lead with greater confidence, influence and impact in an AI-enabled world.

Today's leaders face a very different challenge than they did just a few years ago. AI is transforming how we work, industries continue to evolve at pace, and teams are looking for leaders who can provide clarity, build trust and create confidence through uncertainty.

This programme will help you develop the human leadership skills that matter most. You'll strengthen your ability to influence, communicate with impact, lead authentically, build high-performing teams, navigate change, raise your profile and develop your own leadership voice.

This programme is designed for women and non-binary people who are:

  • Leading through constant change and looking for practical tools to navigate uncertainty with confidence.

  • Finding leadership can feel lonely and would value a trusted peer network to share challenges, ideas and support.

  • Wanting to become more influential, communicate with greater impact and inspire others without compromising their authenticity.

  • Curious about what leadership looks like in an AI-enabled world and keen to develop the human skills that technology can't replace.

  • Balancing the demands of leadership while protecting their resilience, wellbeing and long-term performance.

  • Ready to challenge limiting beliefs, build confidence and step into leadership with greater courage and conviction.

You'll leave with practical tools, renewed confidence, a supportive leadership network and a clearer understanding of the kind of leader you want to be in a rapidly changing world.

What is involved?

  • 6 x 1 day Leadership Group Coaching with the cohort

  • An individual 360 Leadership Circle Profile to evaluate your current leadership skills and development areas

  • 3 x Individual Leadership Coaching sessions with course leader Tracy Forsyth

  • A professional profile headshot with a photographer

  • Every leader is required to give a one-hour webinar or panel on a subject of their choice to the WFTV membership.

  • You must be able to commit to the group coaching days.

  • You must be willing to pay it forward through mentoring in the future

The Programme Leader

The programme has been designed and is hosted by Tracy Forsyth.

The programme is designed and led by Tracy Forsyth, Founder of Fast Track to Fearless and an Executive Leadership Coach specialising in helping leaders build confidence, influence and impact in an AI-enabled world.

Before becoming a coach, Tracy spent over 30 years in the creative industries, working across production, commissioning and distribution, including as part of the Global Leadership Team at BBC Studios. Today, she works with senior leaders and leadership teams across the screen industries, combining real-world leadership experience with practical coaching to help people lead with greater confidence, authenticity and courage.

Participants consistently describe Tracy as engaging, motivating, inclusive and approachable, praising her ability to create a safe environment where people feel able to be honest, challenge themselves and learn from one another. Her workshops are known for being practical, thought-provoking and immediately applicable, giving leaders tools they can use from day one.

The impact extends well beyond the programme itself. Participants have described the experience as "life changing", saying they now "lead with far more confidence" and see themselves differently as leaders. Many highlight not only the practical skills they gained, but also the confidence, clarity and supportive network they developed, leaving them better equipped to navigate the challenges of leadership in a rapidly changing world.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a woman currently working in a leadership role within linear or multi-platform film, television or digital content creation. For example: Head of Department, a Founder or in a senior role running an indie, a C-suite role or board-member role

  • Have more than 15 years’ experience in the industry or are leading a full-time permanent team responsible for vision, strategy and delivery in a position in the film, TV and content industries including digital media

  • Can commit to 6 group days and individual coaching  (over a six month period).

FAQs

It’s very time consuming to fill in the application form – why is it so detailed?

The transformation process that is at the heart of the leadership programme starts with the application form. For the process to really work you have to be totally committed to it for seven months; if you truly don’t have time to fill in the application form it is unlikely that you would be able to fully participate in, and benefit from, the programme.

What’s the selection process?

All eligible application forms (i.e. those that meet the selection criteria and have complied with the submission requirements) are reviewed by a panel of experienced industry figures. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview with the leadership programme leader (via Zoom).

I’m freelance and don’t know my work schedule – what happens if I can’t make the programme days?

In order to the most out of the programme we absolutely encourage you to prioritise the six days scheduled and lock them into your diary from the outset. Of course, we all understand that life gets busy and sometimes work commitments can’t be altered.

Is there an age restriction for applicants on the scheme?

Not at all.

Can WFTV accommodate access requirements?

At WFTV we’re keen to ensure that all our programmes are accessible for everyone. If you have any access requirements, please let us know within the application and we will happily accommodate you. Please contact admin@wftv.org.uk if you’d like to discuss in more detail.

Do I have to pay a fee to join the programme?

The programme is free.

Do I have to be a member of WFTV to apply?

No. You do not have to be a member to apply. If you are chosen for the scheme we would expect you to become a member by the time the programme starts.
