The profound desire to become a mother and the constant pressure from her surroundings drive Alejandra to fake a pregnancy. In this feature-length documentary, Maite Alberdi (The Eternal Memory, The Mole Agent) captures how what begins as a simple lie turns into a complex charade that Alejandra must sustain for months before her hopeful husband and family. Trapped in a pretence that consumes her, Alejandra is pushed to cross an irreversible line, unleashing a media scandal that makes it impossible for her to continue the deception.
