Copyright & Clearance 101 with Kellie Brocket and Sara Vandore-Mackay

This highly practical session will cover all you need to know about copyright and clearances. Sara will cover content legal and compliance, dealing with the basics of copyright law and clearances, what to do if you can’t find a copyright owner, and how you can “fair deal” third-party material without needing a licence. Kellie will then cover the day-to-day approach to clearances – what and when to clear, how to get the right permissions and potential hurdles. There will be plenty of time for questions throughout.
