Parents & Carers: CV Workshop with Cheryl Woodcock

Are you a parent or carer looking to return to work, change roles or wanting to update your freelance CV? Led by Cheryl Woodcock, Talent Executive and Founder of Telly Mums Network this CV workshop will be a chance to discover tips and tricks to get your CV at its best.

To join this session, all attendees will need to submit their CV in advance to amylouise@wftv.org.uk. Cheryl will read through all CVs and will use these as examples during the workshop. This will be a safe space to see how other creatives share their career on paper offering a greater opportunity to learn. All shared CVs must have redacted names and contact details.

Cheryl Woodcock began her career with work experience on TFI Friday in the late 90s before moving to BBC Children's and BBC Entertainment. She worked as a Freelancer up to Senior Producer level on shows such as Total Wipeout, Million Pound Drop and Great British Hairdresser then moved over to Talent Management in 2011. As a Talent Executive, she works for Lifted Entertainment and Possessed (ITV Studios' labels) across shows such as Love Island, I'm a Celebrity, Saturday Night Takeaway, The Voice and Dancing on Ice.

As well as finding new talent, Cheryl is also passionate about job sharing and retaining talent in the industry, leading to her starting Telly Mums Network in 2019 with the vision of supporting women as they navigate having a career and having a family. It now has nearly 1,300 members. She has run coaching groups for mums to be at ITV and events to help freelancers including weekly ScreenSkills ‘CV Clinics’ and ‘Return to Work for Mums’. She is a qualified career coach and is starting her third and final year at college where she is training for a Diploma in Integrative Therapy (Counselling and Psychotherapy) as she is passionate about women's pre and postnatal mental health and infertility. How will the online event work?

This event will be live streamed via Zoom.us. Viewing details will be sent via your confirmation email.

This is an interactive session and will be taking place as a Zoom meeting. Attendees should access the event using a device with audio and video functions to participate.
