Event Opportunity: CineArk Open Day

CineArk supplies DIT, video, transmitters and comms equipment with experienced crew for TV and film productions in the UK and worldwide. We are passionate about skills and training and want to help the industry through the current challenges presented by the SAG/AFTRA and Writers Guild strikes by sharing our knowledge and providing a forum to network and stay up to date with technology and industry developments.

On Wednesday 13 September, CineArk will be hosting an open morning for WFTV members at their HQ in High Wycombe.

Members working in production roles such as Line Producers, Production Managers, Production Coordinators may find this session particularly useful and those who would like to learn more about the following:

• Why do I need a DIT? What do they do?
• What is Video Playback / QTAKE? Why do I need it?
• Why do I need Transmitters? What differentiates a Teradek from an Eagle?
• What is Bolero? Why is it different to Motorola radios?

This open day is an opportunity for WFTV members to attend a group workshop, meet the experts and ask questions in a supportive environment where it’s okay not to know everything!

Schedule:

10.15-10.30am: Arrival, welcome and refreshments – Morning Session

10:30-11:00am: Video & DIT Workshop

11:00-11:30am: Overview of Transmitters and Comms

11.30-12:00am: Q&A

12:00-13:00pm: Lunch, Networking and ‘Ask Us Anything’ session
