[FULLY BOOKED] Smartphone Film Production Online Workshop: Group 2 / Part Two

This two-part smartphone filming workshop aims to increase members confidence in filming, editing and content created professionally on smartphones. Part one focuses on filming and part two, editing. Members are expected to attend both parts of the workshop, across the  two separate weekend dates. 

Members who sign up for this two-part workshop will be expected to join both the following online workshop dates:

Part One: Saturday June 10th / 13:30 - 16:30 (Filmmaking)

Part Two: Saturday June 24th / 13:30 - 16:30 (Editing)

(Please note the workshops will be held on weekend dates. Two Saturdays, two weeks apart)

Smartphone filmmakers Jane Mote, Jillian Mannion and Connor Whitfield will explore the power and freedom of smartphone filming, covering why smartphones can do almost anything you want and some examples of smartphone filming in action. They’ll also share tips and tricks on how to make smartphone filming look and sound good, from the recommended apps for a professional look to advice on sound, lighting, stability and editing.

The online workshops will focus on practical skills: What to shoot, how to shoot with quality sound, stability and light as well as the basics of editing montage through to more complicated edits and graphics.

Kit recommendation list with links will be provided upon sign up to the workshop. 

At the end of the workshop, everyone will have created a film which will be celebrated within the WFTV network.

How will the online event work?

This event will be live streamed via Zoom.us. Viewing details will be sent sepearately to your confirmation email. 

Attending participants will not be visible to others and will be muted throughout the session. After the talk, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask their questions to the panel by using the Q&A feature.
