Emma Lawson is a television executive with over 20 years’ experience in scripted comedy, spanning development, production and commissioning. She has worked with major broadcasters and platforms including BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, Comedy Central, HBO and Apple TV+.

She spent much of her career leading production teams at major indies such as Talkback, Objective and, for over a decade, Roughcut TV, delivering many hours of high-profile scripted comedy. In 2018, Emma joined BBC Studios, where she produced Trying, the first original scripted comedy for Apple TV+, which led to an in-house role at the streamer.
