Join WFTV and meet the Director of Original Film at Sky, Julia Stuart.

Julia will be discussing the current landscape of film and offering insight to the Sky Cinema commissioning process, her thoughts on what makes great film and sharing her thoughts on how to get a project commissioned.

Recent Sky Original film titles include Bonus Track, Ferrari, May December, A Good Person and Lee.

Julia Stuart, Director of Original Film, Sky

Julia has a degree in Film and Literature from the University of Warwick.  She began her career in TV production, working in BBC Drama before moving to Kudos and working on Spooks and Hustle. Julia joined Sky in 2006 and quickly moved into Acquisitions where she eventually ran Series and then Sky Store acquisitions including the launch of Sky Q, Sky Atlantic, UHD and Buy & Keep. She started working on original film in 2018 and became Director of Original Film in 2020.

How will the online event work?

Attending participants will not be visible to others and will be muted throughout the session. After the talk, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask their questions to the panel by using the Q&A feature.
