About the Event
A special opportunity for WFTV members to screen the first three episodes of the new Sky Original comedy-drama The Lovers, accompanied by an interview with lead star Roisin Gallagher, offering an insight into the making of the show.
The Lovers follows Janet (Roisin Gallagher), a bad-tempered, hilarious, Belfast supermarket worker who couldn’t give a shit about anything much at all, including her life, and Seamus (Johnny Flynn). A handsome, self-centred, political broadcaster with what looks to be a perfect London life and a celebrity girlfriend.
So when Seamus unexpectedly drops into Janet’s world (literally over the wall and into her backyard) they instantly clash – and yet also find themselves inextricably drawn to each other…
Set in Belfast, this is a sexy, funny, fight-y love story about two people who appear to be utterly wrong for each other – yet may just be utterly right.
WFTV members will receive a link to view episodes 1-3 of The Lovers and access to the recorded interview with Roisin Gallagher in your registration confirmation email. All links will be available until 31 October.
WFTV members will receive details of the screening and access to the interview in your registration confirmation email.
