Special Opportunity: Wolfwalkers Screening and an Insight into the Making of the Animated Film

A special opportunity for WFTV members to watch the BAFTA and Academy Award® nominated Wolfwalkers and gain an insight into the making of the animated film.

An Apple Original Film, co-produced by the award-winning animation studios Cartoon Saloon and Melusine Productions, this family friendly film draws on the rich history of Irish mythology and folklore.

In a time of superstition and magic, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellowe, journeys to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe rumoured to have the ability to transform into wolves by night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the Wolfwalkers and risks turning into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.

Wolfwalkers is rated PG.

As part of this opportunity, WFTV members will receive a screening link to Wolfwalkers as well as access to a pre-recorded virtual animation masterclass workshop with producer/director/writer, Tomm Moore, art director/writer/director, Ross Stewart, and animators Tatiana Mazzei and Maria Madelaire, so members and little creatives can practice doing your own animation of the characters at home!

WFTV members can also watch an exclusive Q&A with Nora Twomey, Partner and Creative Director of Cartoon Saloon and producer of Wolfwalkers. In conversation with host Wendy Mitchell, Nora shares a behind the scenes look at the production and offers a creative insight into the unique animation style of the film.
