WFTV members are invited to an in-person screening of this Oscar-nominated short film Le Pupille, directed by Alice Rohrwacher and produced by Alfonso Cuarón.
Le Pupille is based on a letter from Italian writer Elsa Morante to her friend Goffredo Fofi, this short film is about desires, freedom and devotion, and about the anarchy that is capable of flowering in the minds of girls within the confines of a strict religious boarding school at Christmas.
The film is nominated in the Short Film (live action) catergory at the Academy Awards®.
