About Cara Sheppard, Managing Director at Twickenham Film Studios

Cara joined Twickenham Film Studios in September 2020, following her positions as Senior Manager of Post Production Operations at Sky, Head of Post Production at Goldcrest, and Managing Director at award-winning Warner Bros De Lane Lea for four years. She is also an important and long-standing Board Member of the UK Screen Alliance.

She played a fundamental role in the growth and success of the famous post-production Warner Bros studio and enhanced the quality and reputation of the artistic offering. Bringing on key industry names as Asa Shoul, Peter Doyle and Adrian Rhodes, she ensured the studio worked on big-name feature film and TV projects, evolved the client experience and enhanced the commerciality of the business.

Cara also created a fully serviced digital production and film dailies offering and launched a whole new facility covering international productions from Studio tentpole to HETV. Under her leadership De Lane Lea also went on to win ‘Best Production House’ at the 2019 Screen International Awards.

At Twickenham Studios, Cara is responsible for leading and guiding all aspects of the business – across production, post-production and emerging technology. Her role is focused on helping the studios confidently navigate the ever-changing market, ensuring TFS is positioned to keep on leading the way.

She further develops key relationships with UK, Hollywood and wider international clients, whose projects can be supported at the studios. Cara is also focused on building out a bespoke Twickenham Film Studios training and apprenticeship scheme, securing key education partnerships and developing a robust diversity and inclusion programme.
