WFTV in Glasgow: Short Film Club 2023

WFTV Short Film Club 2023 is a series of in-person, short film screenings spotlighting the work of female filmmakers.

In collaboration with Glasgow Film Festival we are excited to be hosting our next WFTV Short Film Club in Glasgow and showcasing a collection of short films made by filmmakers based in Scotland, followed by the opportunity to meet new and familiar faces in a relaxed, social environment.

Tuesday 15th August

Screening will be hosted at Glasgow Film Theatre, followed by networking reception at The Clubroom, CitizenM.

Please note the film screening and networking reception will be hosted in seperate venues. The Clubroom at CitizenM is located a short 5-minute walk from Glasgow Film Theatre.

18:00-18:30 Arrivals

18:30-18:45 Intros from WFTV and Filmmakers

18:45-19:45 Short Film Screening

19:45-21:00 General networking in the Clubroom, CitizenM

Submission Process

Submissions for this Short Film Club are now closed.

Selection Process

The WFTV team will review the submissions and the WFTV Short Film Club programme will be at the discretion of the team.

Once a short film has been submitted via the WFTV Film Club 2023 Application form, the WFTV team will watch all films in their entirety and submit a shortlist to be finalised by the senior events producer and CEO of WFTV.

The team will only consider short films which have been completed and not any rough cuts of the film.

If your film is selected to be screened at WFTV Film Club 2023, you will be expected to attend the screening in-person. You will be eligible to invite an additional four other guests, they can be fellow members or non-members.

Deadline for submission: Wednesday 26 July at 18:00.
