Writers’ Group: Everything you need to know about Film & TV Managers with Sarah Arnott from Zero Gravity Entertainment

For this month’s Writers’ Group, host Christina Pickworth will be in conversation with Sarah Arnott, Manager with Zero Gravity Entertainment.

They will be covering the key things you need to know about Film & TV Managers, sharing an insight to how Managers work with writers and what they do. Sarah and Christina will also be talking about how and when to choose (and then get) a Manager, and the difference between a US Manager and a US agent.

Zero Gravity Management is an entertainment company whose strength lies in the development and representation of screenwriters, directors, and actors. The firm is also a full-service production company handling the development, finance, execution and sale of projects in film, television and new media. ZG works with major and mini-major studios, producing feature films and TV series, selling spec scripts, and sourcing open writing, directing and acting assignments.

Sarah Arnott works as a Manager with Zero Gravity Management (Ozark, The Accountant).

She began her career in the film and television industry at Bruce Davey and Mel Gibson's Icon Productions where she served as Head of UK Development before going on to oversee acquisitions for major sales agents, such as Odyssey Entertainment and Timeless Films.

Recent clients include The Works Intl, Goldcrest Films, Hindsight Media, Northern Ireland Screen, We Are Colony, and Icon Productions - as well as setting up George Productions, Ltd. - and Wheelhouse Media, a JV specialist factual TV documentary company with Gibraltar Broadcasting Corporation.

Christina Pickworth, Agent, Imagine Talent

Christina is an agent for writers and directors at a small, bespoke agency Imagine Talent, with a list that focuses on emerging talent and female voices. Christina has written feature films, consulted for production companies and financiers, and freelanced at United Agents, as well as spending several years working in film development finance for a fund that invested in 300 British film projects over three years. Christina has previously sat on the selection committee for the BAFTA Rocliffe screenwriting competitions.
