About the Event
For February’s Writers’ Group we will be joined by screenwriter and the 2022 WFTV ScreenSkills Writing Award winner, Kayleigh Llewellyn.
In conversation with Agent Christina Pickworth, Kayleigh will be sharing her journey into the industry and career so far and creating her critically acclaimed series In My Skin, offering behind the scenes insight to the making of the series from idea to screen. Kayleigh will also be discussing writing for other drama series such as Killing Eve and Chloe.
Kayleigh Llewellyn is the creator of In My Skin, which ran for two series on BBC Three and Hulu to critical acclaim. It has gone on to garner BAFTA Awards for Best Drama Writer and Best Drama Series 2022; BAFTA Cymru Awards for Best Writer, Best Television Drama and Best Director in 2020 and 2022; and the RTS Award for Best Drama Series in 2021 and 2022. Kayleigh was also the recipient of the WFTV ScreenSkills Writing Award 2022.
Kayleigh is now adapting Jen Beagin's Big Swiss for HBO, HyperObject and A24 in the US, as well as adapting Rosa Rankin Gee’s Dreamland for Sister Pictures and developing a second original series with Expectation Entertainment. Other recent credits include Killing Eve and Chloe. Kayleigh is a previous BAFTA Breakthrough Brit, Broadcast Hotshot, BFI Flare Mentee and winner of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Comedy Writing Award.

Christina Pickworth, Agent, Imagine Talent
Christina is an agent for writers and directors at a small, bespoke agency Imagine Talent, with a list that focuses on emerging talent and female voices. Christina has written feature films, consulted for production companies and financiers, and freelanced at United Agents, as well as spending several years working in film development finance for a fund that invested in 300 British film projects over three years. Christina has previously sat on the selection committee for the BAFTA Rocliffe screenwriting competitions, and she consults for Stage 32, Industrial Scripts and Reel One Entertainment.
How will the online event work?
This event will be live streamed via Zoom.us. Viewing details will be sent via your confirmation.
Attending participants will not be visible to others and will be muted throughout the session. After the talk, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask their questions to the panel by using the Q&A feature.
