About the Event
In this event, funding experts Laura Macara and Silvia Schmidt will share their thoughts and experience on successful television and film productions. You’ll find out what makes the Commercial team look at a project, what you need to do to develop and work on a project as well as guide you through the legal jargon of what to do once your film has been financed. There will be time at the end of the webinar to ask the panellists questions.

Laura Macara is the Managing Director of the Investments team at Great Point Media, leading the deal origination, project assessment and management of funds at GPM. Laura originally qualified as a chartered secretary and as part of her role also oversees the corporate governance and company secretarial matters for all group and fund companies and manages the structuring of investments and returning of funds to investors.
Silvia Schmidt is a Legal Consultant in the Legal team at Great Point Media. She has worked on development, as well as production and financing of various film and tv projects. Silvia has worked as a lawyer in the film and tv industry for over 8 years and loves seeing projects develop from idea to being watched on the big or small screen.
How will the online event work?
This event will be live streamed via Zoom.us. Viewing details will be sent via your confirmation.
Attending participants will not be visible to others and will be muted throughout the session. After the talk, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask their questions to the panel by using the Q&A feature.
