Highlights of the WFTV Festival 2025

It was wonderful to see so many of members enjoying our inaugural WFTV Festival at the Garden Cinema in central London on Friday 7 March in celebration of International Women's Day 2025. The WFTV Festival, in partnership with Eastbrook Studios London and Loop Talent, is for WFTV members, by members; showcasing members’ work, short and long form, across both film and TV, to an audience of members and invited industry professionals. If that wasn't enough, we also held industry panels and networking sessions for our members to meet each other and share their knowledge and experiences.

Special events included Stacey Dooley in conversation with WFTV CEO Katie Bailiff and a preview screening of her new BBC series Rape on Trial, while we were also joined by WFTV award-winning director Victoria Mapplebeck introducing her acclaimed film Motherboard.

Industry panels hosted by Wendy Mitchell included The Festival Circuit: A Film's Journey, featuring Festival Formula's Katie Bignell and film programmer Carmen Thompson, and Meet the Producers featuring Faye Ward, Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor and Sheila Nortley.

The WFTV Festival continues its journey around the UK during March, showcasing work from Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester and we look forward to seeing you there! Find out more and book your ticket here.
