WFTV EventS SCHEDULE
We run a comprehensive and hybrid model with a mixture of in-person and virtual events programme taking place around the UK, at festivals and online.
These free, weekly, events for members cover a diverse range of industry-focused topics as workshops, seminars, panel discussions and screenings, with strands such as Writers’ Group, Meet the Commissioner, a mix of online and in-person networking and exclusive TV and film screenings.

- Tue 03 Jun03 Jun 2025, 10:00 – 12:00 BSTSimkins LLP, Lynton House, 7-12 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9LT, UKMedia and entertainment law firm Simkins LLP invites WFTV members to a two-part series of breakfast seminars on Option and Writer’s Agreements. The seminars will take place in-person at Simkins’ office. Members will be joined by Partner Juliane Althoff and Associate Sophie Neal.

Each WFTV Short Film Club session will screen a collection of member-made short films, followed by the opportunity to meet new and familiar faces in a relaxed, social environment.

Bridget Banton will help you define your personal brand using the power of storytelling. This session will guide you through the process of crafting and packaging your unique narrative in a way that feels authentic and impactful.
- 04 Jun 2025, 18:00 – 19:00 BSTRich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Grn Rd, London E1 6LA, UKWFTV is delighted to host a drinks reception for members to celebrate the women of SXSW Festival London. The event will also be open to platinum and screen badge holders, with secondary access to music and conference badge holders.
- 10 Jun 2025, 17:00 – 19:30 BSTPicturehouse Central, 15 Great Windmill Street, Shaftesbury Ave, Piccadilly Circus, London W1D 7DH, UKWFTV members are invited to this special screening of the first episode of Outrageous. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Joanna Vanderham, writer Sarah Williams, exec producer Matthew Mosley and directors. There will also be an opportunity to network over drinks ahead of the screening.

This session will feature our host Sarah Wright in conversation with EVP, Television Distribution at Fifth Season, Jennifer Ebell.
- 18 Jun 2025, 18:30 – 21:00 BSTKarma Sanctum Soho Hotel, 20 Warwick St, London W1B 5NF, UKJoin WFTV for an evening of socialising. Our in-person networking sessions are for all WFTV members to meet new people in a friendly and informal setting. This month we will be at Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel, London and will include some informal 'speed dating' networking.
